Preparation and Characterization of BaFe₂As₂ Iron Based Compound

Abstract

The composition of Iron-based superconductor BaFe2As2 was synthesized by two-step solid state reaction method and low sinter temperature. In the first step, FeAs precursor was prepared and then combined with Ba metal to obtain BaFe2As2. X-ray diffraction spectrum analysis was performed by MAUD software using Rietveld method. Also, the electrical resistance measurement vs temperature was done. Result of the analyses were compared to the results of literatures.
