Abstract
In this research, Y1-xBixBa2Cu3O7-δ superconducting samples doped with Bismuth with ۰.۰۱ and ۰.۰۲ contamination for the Y3+ site were prepared by standard solid state reaction method. Sintering temperature of samples was 900, 930 and 950 °C. The temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility of the samples show that those samples heated at 950 °C have a sharper phase transition to the superconductivity state. Scanning electron microscopy images show the grain size has increased with increasing of sintering temperature. The grain size also increases by increasing Bi3+ amount in the Y۱-xBi xBa2Cu3O7-δ compound. The increase in the grain size could indicate that the doped element has been entered in the composition.
